Choose the photo in the local viewer
Open the ImageHush image tool and choose the file from your device. The browser reads it directly. ImageHush does not receive the photo, file name or metadata findings.
Read the privacy groups
The results group related fields so you do not need to interpret every raw tag. GPS indicates supported location structures. Camera and date summarize supported EXIF values. Publishing metadata covers supported XMP, IPTC, Photoshop resources and comments. Content Credentials reports supported embedded C2PA data.
How to interpret a result
- Detected
- A supported structure or value was found in the selected file.
- Not detected
- The current scanner did not find that supported group.
- Cleaner copy
- A separate version can be made when you do not want to share the findings.
- Original
- Keep it privately when its history or provenance is useful.
Why viewers sometimes disagree
Metadata can be stored in several containers, compressed blocks and vendor-specific structures. Different tools support different tag families, and damaged files can be interpreted differently. Treat a browser scan as a practical privacy check rather than a complete forensic report.
Viewing does not change the file
Opening a photo in ImageHush does not overwrite it. Cleanup only begins when you explicitly request a new copy and confirm you are allowed to modify the image.
Look beyond metadata
Metadata is separate from the visible pixels and from pixel-level watermarks. A photo can still reveal identity or location through faces, text, landmarks and reflections even when no supported metadata is detected.
