Clear about the details
ImageHush focuses on metadata. It does not blur, crop or hide anything you can see in the file. Here is what the current tools are designed to handle.
| File | ImageHush cleans | What stays |
|---|---|---|
| Images | Supported EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments and embedded C2PA data across seven image formats | The visible picture, dimensions and visible orientation |
| Documents | Supported author, date, software, XMP, custom property and attribution fields | Pages, visible text and items outside the cleanup scope |
JPGCompressed image data stays untouched when orientation allows.
PNGExported with lossless pixels. The file may be larger.
GIFMetadata is removed without flattening the animation.
Simple from start to finish

Make a separate sharing copy. We check it again for the metadata we support before you download it.
Private by design

No. Your image or document stays in your browser while ImageHush checks and cleans it. We do not receive the file, its name or the details found inside it.
ImageHush removes the EXIF, GPS, XMP, IPTC, comments and embedded C2PA data it can detect. JPG and GIF files use a lossless path when safe. Other formats use a fresh browser export. Every new copy is checked again before download.
For a normally oriented JPG, the recommended option removes metadata without recompressing the image. JPG files that depend on an EXIF orientation tag and files converted to another format are saved again at high quality. GIF cleanup keeps animation intact. PNG uses lossless pixels.
No. ImageHush cleans the PDF and Office metadata fields it supports, but it does not remove every hidden attachment, layer or script. It also does not replace proper redaction or a malware scan.
No. Metadata is only one part of a file. ImageHush does not remove visible marks or invisible pixel watermarks such as SynthID. It also cannot change a post that is already online or control how another platform labels a file.
